Repurpose Scans

Step two in our design process was to repurpose scans. We made adaptations of scanned pages from Martha Stewart Living magazine. The following shows the Martha Stewart Living image on the left, and the repurposed image on the right.

For this adaptation I attempted to:

Keep the image lay-out symmetrical like the original
Represent major color locations substituting salmon color instead of red, the dominant color appearing in various locations through out Martha Stewart’s Setting the Scene photograph.

Retain similar circle and square images
Retain similar managment of the viewer's eye path
Use a consistent color scheme as the original, using a green theme as a replacement for Martha Stewart's brown / gold theme

Present complimentary pairing of color scheme, the color of the coffee to green text in the bottom right‐hand corner. Brown and green HEX values are from ColorSchemer.com.
