Washington Memories

People will talk about their Washington Memories with some steaming Seattle coffee and an apple turn-over from Washington State.

The motion on Coffee & Turnovers is steam intended to integrate into the image and be tranparent enough to read through some parts for a short period of time. The steam fits well with the iconography of a coffee cup and Seattle coffee theme. The placement of the steam is center of the cup, which more or less creates a verticle line on this page grid. The movement of the eye is from the cup upwards. The color of the steam appears to add a blue hue and may clash slightly with other colors. For a future design iteration, I would lessen the blue color of the steam and lessen the density of the steam. A future design iteration would also include whispy pieces of steam spread out more horizontally and further up.
